On Friday July 24th 2009 we had the last day of "Summercamp Sweden: floating and sinking art".
During 3 days a small group of 7 children and 6 parents has been working on a huge amount of floating artpieces, accompanied bij visual artist Marjan Verhaeghe (Belgium).

The participants in Summercamp Sweden were very enthousiastic about the project.
They especially mentioned the quality of the working spaces in our building and the Swedish nature as a very special source of inspiration.

EuropeanArtists.tv arranges art projects in Sweden and in the Netherlands. Our projects were up till now always focussed on artists and designers.
With Summercamp Sweden we had our first project aimed on other targetgroups, with the guidance of a professional visual artist.

Marjan Verhaeghe:
"The set-up of the project is very valuable for families. Children and their parents can all work out their creativity.
The project is a kind of an active, short holiday in the residency in which everybody can work in a relaxed and unique atmosphere."

In February 2009 we co-organised the very succesfull pilot of the snow, ice and fire artfestival Isstjärnan. Therefore there will be a second and larger edition in February next year.
Now we can say the pilot of Summercamp Sweden was a succes too. Therefore we will arrange a new summercamp in July next year.
Probably there will start a simular project in the Netherlands with the name: "Summercamp ARTwekkelo" (www.SART.tv).
